Do the Impossible

"It always seems impossible until it’s done." Nelson Mandela.

In 1954, Roger Bannister, broke the world record in England for the one-mile run. Until then, many runners believed it could not be done. Within 45 days, an Australian runner broke the four-minute barrier and set a new world record.

Within a year, three runners broke the four-minute barrier in the same race. It was believed to be impossible until someone did it. Now the world is 3 minutes, 43.13 seconds.

It's rare for a person to ignore the negative comments or low expectations of the people around them. World records are not broken by accident. A lot of planning and hard work go into achieving them. We have to overcome the mental barriers we set for ourselves before we can exceed our own expectations.

Whether it's breaking the four-minute barrier, building an airplane, putting a man in space, or writing your first story or novel. Believe in yourself. Believe you can reach the impossible and go get it.

Have a great week,
Tony
