Sail On

Ships are safe in the harbor, but that's not what they are built for.

I've known many people in my life. I've known politicians, preachers, leaders, teachers and even a few thugs and drug addicts. I've worked with carpenters, farmers, mechanics, and entrepreneurs. Everyone one of them can tell you a story about a time when they failed. But they will also tell you about how they overcame failure and moved on.

People are safe at home, but that's not what we are built for. Home is our safe harbor, where we rest and repair our body and mind. Then we put ourselves out there in the world. We overcome our failures and move on. We achieve our successes and we move on.

Staying home, being still and doing nothing is a killer. We all need rest and time to rebuild our bodies and minds. Then we need to get back into the flow of life, because that's what we are built for. We are meant to live and move on with our lives.

Sail on. There are people to meet and places to see.

Have a great week!
